WHAT’S TO LOVE ABOUT THE MANHATTAN 55?
Sunseeker don’t really do restrained. Here it’s all about expressionistic lines, swooping curves, glimmering steel, sharp angles and vast glazed surfaces surrounded by window frames with the fine edges of a cut diamond. The fiberglass body looks like it’s been sculpted by a master artisan, blending the soft and organic with the hard and geometric, for a look that has become Sunseeker’s signature style. What’s also something of a brand trademark is the attention to detail. A wide flybridge is topped by a carbon-fiber hard-top with a retractable sunroof for the perfect balance between sunshine and shade. Head to aft where a U-shaped sofa in Ultraleather surrounds a fold-out teak dining table, or enjoy a companion sofa and full-beam Casbah-style sunpad up front. Mix your drinks and fry your lobster tails at a bridge-level wet-bar with a grill, between sessions spent manning a starboard helm sat judiciously behind a reverse-angled tinted windscreen.
Head onto the foredeck to find an unusually adaptable seating lounge. Out here there is a U-shaped sofa that surrounds a pop-up table for low-slung fun with your guests. This cool lounge area can also be turned into one lavish sunpad by lowering the table into place and covering it with a cushion, revealing a sprawling sun-trap perfect for building your summer tan. In the aft-deck the mercury dips, and in this shaded, teak-lined space you will enjoy a transom sofa, a dining table and steps down to stern. Down on the full-beam hydraulic swim platform there’s the opportunity to bring the beach with you wherever you go. Lift-up the transom door to discover a water-side wet-bar and grill, a fold-out stern-side sofa poised at the water’s edge as well as storage for fenders and sports gear.

Wide-framed panoramic windows, innovative geometric ceiling lights and a sophisticated selection of authentic hardwood surrounds, including options like satin-finished wenge, silver oak, smoky eucalyptus and rich walnut, give the main-deck lounge a breezy atmosphere, a feeling only accentuated by the folding glass and steel doors to aft. Fling these wide open to connect the lounge to the aft-deck, where a pair of bar stools face a Corian or timber-lined serving bar attached to an aft-galley with all the latest kitchen gadgets.
