Description

The Italian brand Sacs Technorib has been redefining the deluxe rib market ever since the firm was founded back in 1989, producing line after line of revolutionary watercraft that defy convention to permanently change the rules of the game. 2023 saw the launch of the Rebel 50 G, a unique take on the motor-rib format that mixes the versatility and verve of tenders featuring foam-filled shock collars with the elegance and presence of a solid hulled speed-boat. This model is a real renegade: punchy propulsion and jet-tender agility aren’t supposed to exist alongside smoldering good looks and overnight accommodation, yet it’s a combination that proves irresistible. The judges at the 2023 World Yacht Trophies held in Cannes thought so too, awarding this rebel vessel a special design prize.

ARE THERE ACCOMMODATIONS BELOW DECK?

Whether this is your main ride or the ultimate tender accessory for something a bit bigger, you’ll still be amazed by the space on offer down on the lower-deck. Two swish cabins provide sleeping quarters for four across a double and two twins, with rooms on this level featuring hull windows, full-height closets and soothing hardwood surrounds. Also available down here is a fully-equipped head lined in Ceppo di Gre’ marble, a genuine rarity on a tender-style vessel. There’s four exclusive interior treatments available for this space, varying from the sophisticated and moody Velvet Mist or Spicy Honey styles through to the clean and contemporary Tonic White or, for a funkier vibe, the Daikiri Touch theme.

WHAT’S TO LIKE ABOUT THE SACS REBEL 50G?

Long-time SACS collaborator Christian Grande styled this sleek 50-foot mover, taking inspiration from the latest cutting-edge aerodynamics to sculpt a stealthy form that stalks across the water with a predator’s intent. Added to the mix are high-gloss fiberglass surrounds in a sharp Stingray tint, crystal-clear glazing for that unbroken connection to the outdoors, and ergonomic spaces that intuitively respond to the human form. What’s more unusual, however, are the robust rounded bow and those thick, padded T-foam shock absorbers that give the 50 G the pugnacious look of a high-energy vessel that can roll with the punches.

This boat is bookended by two lavish seating zones. To stern there is a floating triple-width sunpad with superb views to aft, while the foredeck appears to have every square-inch coated in cushioned Silvertex upholstery. Out here there’s another curved sunpad for three that seamlessly transitions into a double love-seat for secluded relaxation. Head into a cockpit lined in Brezzato oak where floating frameless windows, an open aspect to the rear and a retractable sunroof co-exist with creature comforts like two ultra-contemporary sofas, a fold-out timber-topped table and a Corian-lined galley kitchen with an ice-chipper. More active guests, meanwhile, might be found diving into the water off a full-beam teak-clad swim platform to stern, or opening up the hidden garage to grab their water toys or diving tanks. And when they’re done exhausting their Seabob maybe they’ll wash off at a rear shower fixture that boasts hot and cold currents.

Back up at the heart of the action there’s two helm seats lined in luxurious leather that face off against a black anti-glare helm station in plexiglass that’s been fine-tuned for high-speed fun. An Isotta steering wheel and a Volvo Penta joystick offer the sort of responsive handling required to tame this wild beast, while a 7-inch Volvo Glass Cockpit monitor, a digital utility system and your choice of extras add a flourish of advanced technology to the piloting experience. A vessel as innovative as this needs engines to match. That’s why SACS chose a pair of Volvo Penta IPS950 pod-drive diesels for discreet propulsion with an eco-

friendly and space-saving edge. At 1,400 points of horsepower, a cruising speed of 28 knots and a max full-throttle pace of up to 36 knots this boat is powerful and ready to pounce, with the capability of hitting cruising speeds from a standing start in mere seconds. Dual stainless steel fuel tanks, meanwhile, can hold 1,880 liters of juice for an explorer-friendly range of 260 nautical miles.
