What Is The History Of HCB?

HCB started out as a small Tennessee-based bass boat business called Hydrasports. A little over forty years later, the brand was acquired Elias De La Torre III, a successful Florida-based boat dealer. Under De La Torre’s enthusiastic ownership, Hydrasports was officially renamed HCB and redefined as a serious custom builder that would reinvent the center console as a luxury craft in its own right. Since then, the firm has focused on a low-volume, high-quality model of production by lovingly constructing a small number of impeccable yachts for the most exacting and passionate owners.

While every HCB yacht boasts a thoughtful design and superb levels of performance, the brand’s devotion to customization ensures that no two models are alike. This means that whether you’re test-driving a pre-owned HCB yacht or commissioning a new one, almost every element of the vessel is intentionally chosen, from the seating upholstery to the electronics package.

HCB offers a limited number of exclusive models from 38 to 65 feet in length. Perhaps the brand’s best-known model, the 65 Estrella is the biggest center console in the world. The brawny bones of this yacht were built to battle the water with ease, offering a supremely smooth ride and agile maneuverability. HCB’s other lines include the Sueños, a large and luxurious 52-footer, the party-forward, high-tech 48-foot Campeón, the Lujo, a brawny 42-foot offshore sportfisher, and the Speciale, a 38-foot marina-hoper perfect for families.
