Charles was born and raised in Chicago, where he developed a lifelong passion for boating while spending summers with his family in Wisconsin Dells. Drawn to a career on the water, he relocated to Traverse City to attend the Great Lakes Maritime Academy.
During his time at the Academy, Charles completed multiple sea projects aboard bulk ore freighters, solidifying his commitment to a career in the marine industry. In 2020, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Maritime Technology, specializing in engineering.
Charles holds a 100-Ton Master Captain’s License, Master HVAC certification, and ABYC certifications. He continues to expand his professional expertise through advanced industry training completed during his time at Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales, including BRP, Side-Power, Seakeeper, and MRAA certifications
